Noe Valley Chamber Music series is excited to present Musica Pacifica,
as they perform Dancing in the Isles, the Sequel! a rousing program of Baroque folk and dance music from Scotland, Ireland, and England.
One of Americas’s most exciting Baroque chamber ensembles featuring Judith Linsenberg, recorder │ Elizabeth Blumenstock, baroque violin │ Charles Sherman, harpsichord │ Shirley Hunt, viola de gamba returns to our stage with an exciting program of classical and traditional music from the British Isles. In response to the acclaim of their recent recording, Dancing in the Isles, the group brings a new program of their own arrangements of toe-tapping dance tunes and chamber works from the 17th and 18th centuries including dance suites from the English theater, Jacobean masque music, trio sonatas by Scots Oswald and McGibbon, as well as works with a Scottish flavor by Matteis and Veracini.
